Why do we ever doubt the faithfulness of God?
Many times I stress over daily things. Mothers never stop stressing about their children! One thing I truly believe is, if you tithe, the financial side will be taken care of! However, I won't lie, my flesh and faith conflict on this often.
My mother was coming out to visit for a couple of weeks in May. I knew this months in advance. It seemed like everything worked against me and I was barley sliding by. Two weeks before she was coming out , I had only saved $400 for my $900 in bills! I was counting on two weeks of income in May to help cover the rest. My girls got sick and, since I do daycare, the kids were unable to come to my home. I made no money at all!
As a single mom who has emptied all her savings, closed her 401k, and literally had no other hope, I would say my flesh sure came into play at this point! I only get to see my mom once a year so we enjoyed our time away for the weekend and came home. That night I stayed up thinking about bills and how I could juggle them over the next month. I was just not sure how things could possibly come together. What I didn't realize, and I'm sure God was laughing at, was that a check was sitting in the stack of mail I threw on the table and never looked at. It was a check from a car accident in 2010. They had mailed the check to the wrong address. It was returned and just now reached me?! Over time and through these stories I hope you see that God already has it figured out. We can worry and stress and lose sleep but what he really wants to say is, "Hey, it's already there!! Just have faith!" I do believe we need to tithe and do what he asks of us but once we do, he will never let us fall!

A Beacon Light
By Jeannine Carroll
I'd like to share a poem I just finished writing, if there is ever a time when you are completely finished! It is my prayer for my life and writing.
I'd like to share a poem I just finished writing, if there is ever a time when you are completely finished! It is my prayer for my life and writing.
Lord, could you use me,
I whisper a quiet prayer,
And help my writing
Show others Your love and care?
This life You've given me
Is blessed from up above
And every day I see Your hand
Reaching down to me with love.
I know that some don't know You
And they have never heard
The story of Your mighty love,
You showed us in Your word.
The love You so freely gave,
When Your perfect Son was lost,
Is a beacon drawing each of us
To kneel before the cross.
Lord, may I live my life
As a beacon light
And may You use my words
And everything I write.

Our God is Real!
By Jeannine Carroll
Read this amazing true story. It will build your faith and put a smile on your face!
In Feb. 2009, I was talking on the phone with my four-year-old granddaughter, Sierra, when she told me she needed something.
"What do you need?" I asked her.
"I need a big diamond!" she said.
"Do you think a big diamond would be very expensive?" I asked.
"No," Sierra replied.
"Great," I thought, relieved, "She doesn't mean a real diamond."

God's Awesome Answers!
by Jeannine Carroll
Have you ever wished you had written down the awesome ways God has answered prayers in your life? We want to keep a diary of answered prayers and ways we have seen God at work. Our hope for this blog is to build our faith and the faith of others as we look at answered prayer and God's presence around us.
Adam will, also, be sharing evidences of God's existence. He will blend his love for God and science in a way that will bless all of us!
Amy is a mother with young children, my two granddaughters, and she shares the perspective of a mother that is still in the trenches.
We will work together to share our journeys of faith and we hope to hear yours. too!
