A Beacon Light

I'd like to share a poem I just finished writing, if there is ever a time when you are completely finished!  It is my prayer for my life and writing.

Lord, could you use me,

I whisper a quiet prayer,

And help my writing

Show others Your love and care?

This life You've given me

Is blessed from up above

And every day I see Your hand

Reaching down to me with love.

I know that some don't know You

And they have never heard

The story of Your mighty love,

You showed us in Your word.

The love You so freely gave,

When Your perfect Son was lost,

Is a beacon drawing each of us

To kneel before the cross.

Lord, may I live my life

As a beacon light

And may You use my words

And everything I write.
